The information gathered in the residency decision is only used to determine your tuition rate. 

Parent/Legal Guardian Information

One of the easiest ways to qualify for residency is through your parents and so the application will ask you to select one of your parents or a legal guardian to establish your residency. Your parent should be your biological or adopted parent. 

Who do I pick?

You will want to choose the parent or legal guardian with the closest ties to Wisconsin. Pick the parent that is a U.S. citizen and meets the following Wisconsin residency activities:

• Physically lives full-time in Wisconsin
• Pays Wisconsin income taxes
• Works in Wisconsin
• Voted or registered to Vote in Wisconsin
• Holds a valid Wisconsin driver's license
